The Summer Game Fest kicked off yesterday with a plethora of announcements and trailers that reveal what's to come in the following months. One of the most anticipated releases is Lies of P, the latest creation of Neowiz Games, which surprised many of us when it was announced. The game offers a new look at a classic tale, the story of Pinocchio, turning it into an exciting adventure that emphasizes the darker aspects of the original story.
In Lies of P, you take the role of Pinocchio, a young boy that wakes up in the streets of the plagued city of Krat. Embarked on a quest to find the origin of a mysterious voice that guides him through this grim world, Pinocchio will have to do whatever it takes to survive, including fighting against vile enemies of all types.
With its gripping and grim narrative, Lies of P is a reimagination of the original tale set in a dark Belle Epoque scenario. The game features Dark Souls-like combat and Pinocchio is able to use a plethora of weapon combinations thanks to the use of his unique mechanical capabilities.
Developer Neowiz revealed the release date of Lies of P yesterday alongside a new video. The game will launch on September 19, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and you can already pre-order your Lies of P CD key with our comparator.
If you want to give Lies of P a try ahead of release, there is a demo of the game available on consoles and PC via Steam. You can download it and play the first two chapters of the game until June 26. Any progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full-release version.
