Kingdom Come: Deliverance II receives new trailer at Summer Game Fest

Deep Silver has unveiled more information about the highly anticipated sequel, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the sequel to the award-winning action RPG, with a new trailer at the Summer Game Fest. Once again created by Warhorse Studios, the latest game will take players into the midst of a civil war in 15th-century Bohemia. The trailer, titled Saints and Sinners, showcases some of the adventures and dangers players will face as they journey through a world of revenge, betrayal, and self-discovery.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a direct sequel to the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Set in the beautiful yet perilous world of 15th-century Bohemia, located in Central Europe, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where the first title left off, putting players in the chainmail boots of Henry, the devoted son of a blacksmith, on a mission to avenge his murdered parents. While the new title will continue Henry's story and serve as a direct sequel, it also promises to be a good entry point for newcomers to the franchise.

"In this thrilling sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith's forge to the grandeur of royal courts, while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war," promises the publisher.

The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in February 2018 and proved an immersive medieval open-world experience. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was announced in April of this year with a promise of release still in 2024, which excited any fan of the series. The second game expands across two maps twice the size of its predecessor, and players can explore everything from the majestic Trosky Castle to the bustling mining town of Kuttenberg. With your medieval character, you'll be able to traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape while navigating a war-torn kingdom filled with dangers.

The combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been overhauled to make it more accessible while remaining true to its nature as a representation of authentic medieval martial arts. Players can engage in combat using elegant swordplay to deadly ranged attacks, such as the newly added crossbows or primitive gunpowder weapons. Additionally, Warhorse Studios promises plenty of RPG elements and options for completing missions in various ways.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X later this year, but without a definitive date.
