Kingdom Hearts 3 gets a higher difficulty mode today

Kingdom Hearts is quite a popular franchise where you get to see your favorite Disney characters in a rather unusual role. Perhaps one wouldn´t expect to see Mickey Mouse in an action role-playing game, but since the original Kingdom Hearts was released in 2002, the series has managed to become a huge success for Square Enix. Maybe it´s because many people have grown up watching Disney's movies and cartoons, maybe it´s just because the developers did a great job delivering a good title that keeps the interest of the players, but whatever the reason is, nobody can deny that there are a lot of fans of Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the latest installment in the series, an epic role-playing title that serves as the conclusion of the "Dark Seeker Saga" that started in the first game. Minigames, hack and slash combats and all the gameplay elements that made Kingdom Hearts a hit are back on this adventure where Sora, Goofy, and Donald Duck will travel between worlds to Xehanort's plans. That´s enough to keep you entertained for quite a while, but if you think the game is too easy for you, you should know that Square Enix has announced the release of the new Critical Mode for Kingdom Hearts 3 through a post on the official Twitter account of the game.

Greetings, it’s been a while since I last posted. Spring is here, and I hope everyone is doing well. #KingdomHearts III's long-awaited Critical Mode is available as a free update tomorrow (PT).

It´s not like they are adding more content, but a higher difficulty level can be quite game-changing and rewarding for players that have already experienced the game. It is yet to be seen what new additions the mode is bringing. In previous games of the series, Critical Mode made the enemies harder to kill and increased the damage they dealt, but we may find some other surprises when we try it in Kingdom Hearts 3. Critical Mode is already available as a free update for Kingdom Hearts 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
