Modern Warfare expands Gunfight mode

It's quite likely that when Gunfight mode was released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare nobody in Infinity Ward expected it to become the most popular gameplay mode in the game. Gunfight has enticed Modern Warfare players with its hectic and thrilling action. Fast thinking, coordination, and lightning speed reactions are the key to success in a multiplayer competitive mode that pits two pairs of players against each other in competitive matches. The mirrored weapon loadout system allows players to just jump into a game and fight with whatever weapons they have in rounds of 40 seconds.

As a result of the huge popularity of Gunfight, Infinity Ward is planning to expand the gameplay mode with new options for 3v3 and 1v1 players. This fact has been revealed by Joe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward. When he was asked about a 3v3 mode he answered that they are adding it "at some point" along with a 1v1 mode too, surprising everyone.

At some point, also 1v1!

Rumor says that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be also getting a Battle Royale mode, that could be already in the works. Considering that such a mode is something that has been either present at launch or added later to any shooter recently launched, Battle Royale might have to start being considered as a staple mode in the genre.

Adaptation seems to be the keyword here. Not only it is something that you need to have to be good in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Gunfight, but it's also what Infinity Ward seems to be doing with the game, giving the players what they are demanding. There is no official release date for those additions but we hope they will be soon and if they also bring some new Gunfight maps with them it will be even better.
