Monster Hunter Rise will land on PC in 2022

The fans of the Monster Hunter series woke up today with a nice surprise. Although Monster Hunter Rise is only going to be released on Nintendo Switch this year, those who want to have fun exploring a vast world and hunting mighty beasts but would prefer to do it on their PC will have the opportunity to do so next year. Capcom has announced that they are already working on the PC version of the game. Even though it seems to be in the early stages of development and it will take a while to be released, this is great news.

Monster Hunter Rise producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has talked about this matter in an interview with IGN, and this is what he said:

“We received a lot of requests for a PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, particularly from overseas players, and so we have decided to develop a version for PC, which we aim to release in early 2022. This is still under development, so I’d like to share more detailed information when the time is right.”

The release of Monster Hunter Rise was originally scheduled for March 26 on Nintendo Switch exclusively. It seems that the increasing number of fans of the series out of Japan, mainly thanks to the huge success of Monster Hunter World and its expansion Iceborne, has been enough to make Capcom consider this new approach to the launch. It's worthy of notice that Nintendo Switch will be the only console in which you will be able to play Monster Hunter Rise, so it will be not a big loss for Nintendo, especially considering that the game will be available only on its platform for several months.
