After recently learning the release date of the next expansion for Monster Hunter World, called Iceborne, we have had some information on the content of the latter. Indeed, Capcom announced that Iceborne would add what will become the largest area of the game, Hoarfrost Reach. The expansion will be released on September 6 on PS4 and Xbox One, but players will have to wait until next winter to enjoy it on PC. PS4 players will, however, be able to have a preview of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne before everyone else. It´s been announced through a tweet in the official account of Monster Hunter that two beta phases are planned to launch very soon on PS4. From Friday, at noon, the subscribers to PS plus will open the ball and they will be able to play until June 24 at the same hour. The second phase of the beta, this time open to all players, will start on June 28 at 12h, and it will last until July 1 at 12h. The big good news that accompanies this announcement is that it will not be necessary to have the basic game to access these betas. A dedicated download link will be available before each phase.

In terms of content, as we could imagine, not everything will be accessible; it would be too good to be true. Three hunting quests, however, will allow you to have a glimpse at what awaits you in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. These three quests will allow you to hunt down the grand Jagras, for beginners, the Banbaro, for experienced players, and finally, for experts, the Tigrex. You will also have 14 types of weapons in the game, including the slingshot with the brand new grappling hook. Overall the content of these two phases of the beta is similar to the demo that was playable at E3 this year.
If you do not have Monster Hunter World yet, this is a golden opportunity to test the game for free. While you wait for September 6 if you want to play on console, or next winter, you can check our comparator to get Monster Hunter World: Iceborne at the best price.
