Announced at the 2018 Games Awards, Mortal Kombat 11, developed by NetherRealm and published by Warner Bros. Interactive, will be released on April 23 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and May 10 on Nintendo Switch. While a stress test was done recently with rather positive feedback, it is now the turn of the closed beta to come on the scene. Being available exclusively on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, it will take place exactly from March 27th from 4 pm to April 1st at 8:59 am.
Regarding its content, only five characters will be playable. Those are Baraka, Jade, Kabal, Skarlet, and Scorpion. As for the modes of play, you will be able to play both solo and multiplayer on the two modes proposed being Tour Klassic and Match Online. However, to access multiplayer online matches you will need an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription. Finally, you can also experience one of the great novelties of Mortal Kombat 11, the customization system for fighters. To be able to participate in this closed beta, you must have pre-ordered the game. If you bought the physical version of the game, an access code will be provided by your retailer which you just need to fill in your platform. Make sure your retailer is offering the beta if this is the case. However, if you bought the digital version you will be able to download and play the beta once it´s live. Remember that the beta is only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here is the announcement trailer for the closed beta:
