NBA 2K23 pre-order to start soon

2K Games and Visual Concepts have announced via a new trailer that there will be two versions of NBA 2K23 that will feature the return of Michael Jordan on the cover art. The legendary former basketball player will appear for the first time since NBA 2K16.

One of these two editions is called the Michael Jordan Edition and sees the basketball star doing the traditional celebration pose. The other is the Championship Edition, which contains only Jordan's iconic number 23 jersey from the Chicago Bulls. The benefits and bonuses offered by the different editions have not yet been specified, only that the Championship Edition will come with a year of NBA League Pass, the official streaming subscription to NBA games.

In addition to returning to the cover, 2K Games also revealed that it will bring back the Jordan Challenges that appeared in NBA 2K11. This game mode allowed Players to play as Jordan and Chicago Bulls in some of the most significant moments of the star's career.

The original ten Jordan Challenges are said to be rebuilt entirely for NBA 2K23. They will accompany five new challenges related to Jordan's college, NBA, and USA basketball career. If you're wondering why this is such a big deal, know that NBA 2K11 and NBA 2K12, which have Jordan covering the box art, are widely considering two of the best installments in the long-running series.

Fans will be very excited to see that 2K is invoking Jordan again and, naturally, even more so because of what the star's association with the series has meant in the past. Do you think NBA 2K24 may feature Kobe Bryant on the cover?
