New free content for The Division 2 releases this month

Ubisoft is following Tom Clancy's The Division 2 roadmap without delays and therefore we will see the launch of more content for the game this month. The Division 2: Episode 1 - D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions will be the second free major content update released for the game after launch, and it will continue the story after the events in Invasion: Battle for D.C. taking us to the neighboring areas to accomplish several missions.

The Division 2: Episode 1 – DC Outskirts: Expeditions includes two new missions for the players. In Camp White Oak, the Agents will have to assault a heavily defended presidential compound where Andrew Ellis is hiding. The president has been branded as a traitor, and he has to pay for his crimes. In Manning National Zoo, Agents will have to eliminate the leader of the Outcasts after she managed to escape from D.C. If you don't kill her, she will undoubtedly reform her troops and come back at you for vengeance. If you think you lack firepower, this content update is bringing a few new weapons for your arsenal, including the Diamondback Rifle, Stoner LMG, and Carbine 7. You will be able to get a new piece of exotic gear too, the BTSU Datagloves. Equipped with those you should pack enough of a punch to face anything that the enemies could throw at you. There is also a new type of experience in The Division 2: Episode 1 – DC Outskirts: Expeditions, and that´s the one that gives the name to the update. Expeditions are divided into three different wings that will be released one by one on a weekly basis. Each of them has a different theme, and if you complete them all, you will be granted special rewards. Agents are sent to Kenly College, where a military convoy full of valuable supplies has disapeared. They will explore Kenly Library, Kenly Metro Station and finally Kenly Student Union in a mission to rescue any survivors and find out what exactly has happened.

This update will be available to all players on July 30th, but The Division 2 Year 1 Pass holders will have access to everything it has to offer a week earlier than that. They will also get two new exclusive classified assignments in Washington’s Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13.
