The game is set in the mysterious Koholint Island, and it takes place after the events of A Link to the Past. Link finds himself washed ashore on the island after a storm destroys his boat. For Link to get home, he must wake the Wind Fish that lies dreaming in a giant egg on top of Mt. Tamaranch, which can only be awakened by the Sirens' eight instruments.
