Nintendo Switch: Upcoming games for 2019

We talked about it in a previous article, Nintendo broadcasted live on January 13 a new Nintendo Direct specifically dedicated to Switch games. We had evoked several titles expected by the players, but what came out? Well, that's what we'll see right now. here is the list of all games announced during these 35 minutes, along with their release dates.

• Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - Summer 2019 • Super Mario Maker 2 - June 2019 • Box Boy + Box Girl - April 26, 2019 • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Summer 2019 • Dragon Quest Builders 2 - July 12, 2019 • Dragon Quest XI S - Fall 2019 • Disney Tsum Tsum Festival - Fall 2019 • Rune Factory 4 Special - 2019 (July 25 in Japan) • Oninaki - Summer 2019 • Yoshi's Crafted World - March 29, 2019 • Fire Emblem: Three Houses - July 26, 2019 • Tetris 99 - Available for free now in the eShop (requires online subscription) • Dead by Daylight - Autumn 2019 • Deltarune Chapter One - Available for free in the eShop • Daemon X Machina - Summer 2019 • Grid Autosport - Summer 2019 (all DLCs are included in the Switch version) • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - Spring 2019 • Mortal Kombat 11 - April 23, 2019 • Unravel Two - March 22, 2019 • Assassin's Creed III Remastered - May 21, 2019 • Final Fantasy VII - March 26, 2019 • Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! - March 20, 2019 • Final Fantasy XI - Available Now • Astral Chain - August 30, 2019 • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - 2019

So much for the forthcoming games unveiled during this Nintendo Direct, but that's not all. Indeed, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is now playable in co-op, this addition having been done through a free update. A paid DLC containing 18 new challenges and 5 additional levels will also be released on March 14, at a price still unknown. Super Smash Bros. will have an "Ultimate Update" in the spring. Nintendo, however, did not communicate anything about its contents, so we need to be patient. We also learned that Starlink: Battle for Atlas will welcome 3 new characters in April: Peppy, Falco and Slippy, playable in all the missions of the game. Among the titles from the list above, two of them have right now a demo playable on the eShop: Yoshi's Crafted World, with the demo offering to let you explore the first level of the game, and Daemon X Machina, with a demo covering four missions, one of them, including a boss fight.

Finally, we got to know that Rune Factory 5 is in development, and although many players may have been disappointed not to learn more, Nintendo said that the Bayonetta 3 teams are "working hard" on the game. We will have to wait a little longer for more news, just like in the case of the Pokémon RPG games or Animal Crossing, the two great absentees of this Nintendo Direct. Keep in mind that Nintendo is certainly keeping some surprises in its sleeve for the next edition of the E3 which will take place in June.
