NIS America has released a new trailer for The Caligula Effect: Overdose, a remake of the 2016 PS Vita game The Caligula Effect. The trailer highlights the members of the Go-Home Club who were initially featured as part of the original game, like the Go Home Club's leader, Shogo and other club members, Kotono, Izuru, Kotaro, Mifue, Suzuna, Naruko, and Kensuke. However, Ayana Amamoto and Eiji Biwasaka, who were teased in the previous trailer as new members of the club, were not featured in the latest trailer.
The game is set in Mobius, a perfect world that has been created for the sake of people having an escape from the pain and struggles of the real world. It was created by a conscious vocaloid program, μ (Mu), and has since then made an obscure line between fantasy and reality. It has allowed many people to relive their high school years in ecstasy. Yet there's something awry about this seemingly perfect paradise and you must help your fellow students to break free from the shackles of this idyllic world.
The Caligula Effect: Overdose is now readily available on PS4 in Japan and Southeast Asia with English Subtitles. It will be followed by its PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC launch in the US on March 12, EU on March 15, and ANZ on March 22.
