Other than the new visual style, the World Tour mode, and the new social Battle Hub, one of the most interesting things about Street Fighter 6 is its ample roster of fighters. The fans of the series will see the return of many iconic fighters from previous games, but also a few new ones, up to a total of 18 different fighters that will be available in the game at launch. The list was revealed a while ago and it includes Dhalsim, Luke, Jamie, Manon, Kimberly, Marisa, Lily, JP, Juri, Dee Jay, Cammy, Ryu, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief. We already had the opportunity of watching some of them in action, but Capcom showed off three more during yesterday's State of Play.
Two of these fighters will be familiar to any seasoned fan of the series. Zangief is a hulking Russian wrestler with a knack for grappling his opponents and throwing them around like if they were ragged dolls. Cammy is a former assassin who was turned into one of the best MI6 agents. Then there is Lily, one of the new characters in the series. She is a girl of Mexican origins that can communicate with spirits and uses a pair of deadly weapons to strike her opponents from impossible angles.
There were some doubts about the presence of the iconic fighting series in the most important tournament worldwide. Fortunately, Street Fighter 6 will be part of the EVO lineup along with Guilty Gear Strive, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, King of Fighters 15, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. This year's tournament will also bring a surprise with the return of a fan-favorite classic: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The release of Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for June 2, and you can use our comparator to check out the best deals and buy your Street Fighter 6 CD key on all platforms.
