It seems that Overwatch doesn´t give up on the struggle for maintaining a good position in the already-crowded competitive first-person shooter market. Adding more content to the game seems to be the chosen path and Activision Blizzard has announced that a new character will join the ranks of the international task force. It´s been not too long since Brigitte and Ashe made their apparition and now it´s the turn of Baptiste.
Baptiste is an offensive support character that will boost the performance of his teammates with his gadgets. He is a combat medic from Haiti that originally was a member of a military group called The Caribbean coalition, but his abilities caught the attention of Talon and he was recruited to bolster the ranks of the organization. After a while, he realized that the type of activities that Talon was immersed in were not his cup of tea, and he decided to leave them. That led to a manhunt where Baptiste had to deal with several Talon agents, so going back to the organization is not an option anymore, even if he changed his mind.
Nothing has been revealed from Baptiste's skills but we expect that he will be hitting the public test realm in a few days, so if you want to take a look at his skill set before he comes to live server you should do it there. We expect him to have decent offensive capabilities while being able to support his allies with heals, being sort of a DPS-support hybrid able to fulfill both roles in any given situation, what would give you a lot of flexibility and tactical options.
