Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has made a great job making most players forget about strategy games when we think about titles based on the Warhammer Fantasy franchise. This co-operative FPS adventure for up to 4 players perfectly recreates the atmosphere of the Old World and the bloody battles against the fierce followers of the Horned Rat, the vile Skavens. Developer Fatshark has gladly surprised us with the announcement of the first campaign DLC for Vermintide. With the title of Karak Azgaraz, it will take us from the infested streets of the imperial city of Ubersreik to the area of the imposing Grey Mountains. Once an impregnable dwarven fortress, Karak Azgaraz is now invaded by the filthy ratmen and poses as a great challenge for the heroes, that will have to complete three new missions in a quest to warn nearby settlements of the approaching skaven army. Getting through the ancient halls of the Dwarfen Khazid Kro to reach the mountains and seach for the Cursed Rune, and finally climb to the mountaintop and light the first beacon to trigger the Chain of Fire will be a difficult task. But apart form the usual weaponry, both Bardin Goreksson, the Dwarf Ranger and Victor Saltzpyre, the Witch Hunter will be able to get new weapons (warpick and falchion respectively) to help rampaging through the skaven hordes. Other than the 3 new maps and the 2 weapons, this paid DLC includes three new achievements for players to get. The release date for Karak Azgaraz is yet to be announced but we will keep you updated on the matter as soon as it’s revealed.
