Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 gets a free to play version

Quite surprisingly, Konami has decided to publish a free to play version of their soccer title Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. The PES franchise has been the company's flagship on the sports category for quite a few years now, and it seems that they have decided to make it accessible for more people releasing this new version of the game. With the name Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 Lite we can find a title that allows you to play Online myClub and PES LEAGUE Mode, and also the Offline Exhibition Match and Training Mode completely free. You can participate in this season's PES LEAGUE and compete against the best players in the world during intense tournaments. Also, if your rank is high enough in CO-OP (3v3) ONLINE Championship, limited term tournaments, or the brand new PES LEAGUE myClub competitions (available in 1v1 and cooperative modes), you will be able to qualify for global events.

We don't know if this is some kind of experiment that may end with Konami switching the business model of the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise to free-to-play completely in the future. We know that Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 Lite includes optional in-game purchases, as usually happens in that kind of games. Right now, you can already download this new version through Steam and PlayStation Store for PC and PlayStation 4 respectively, and play it completely free, but if you want to get the full package you can always go for the original Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 on our comparator.
