Rainbow Six Quarantine will finally be called Extraction

First announced at E3 2019, Rainbow Six Quarantine was originally scheduled for release in 2020. But obviously, the launch of the game has been pushed back by Ubisoft. The delay was announced by Yves Guillemot back in October 2019, and the postponement had also concerned other games, such as Watch Dogs Legion and Immortals Fenyx Rising, which was still called Gods & Monsters at the time. Now, the game previously called Rainbow Six Quarantine is finally scheduled for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, but it will finally be released under a different name.

It was already known that the game would be changing its name, and rumors had been circulating about it for a while, with the new name allegedly being Rainbow Six Parasite, but this was quickly denied by Ubisoft. It will finally be known as Rainbow Six Extraction and there's even a short video to reveal it.

Ubisoft has revealed that Rainbow Six Extraction is the new name of the game just a few days before the kick-off of E3 2021. The Ubisoft Forward conference will start on Saturday 12 June at 9 pm CEST, with a pre-show from 8 pm. It was already expected that there would be some announcements as the company unveiled its line-up a few days ago, and it mentioned Rainbow Six Extraction

The main event will start at 9 pm and will contain some important announcements, updates for other current Ubisoft games, and a few surprises not to be missed. Learn more about the next installment in the Rainbow Six franchise, formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and enjoy world-exclusive trailers and gameplay footage of the all-new co-op title.

The teaser shows that while Rainbow Six Extraction may not be called Parasite, that's what this next game is all about, and we can't wait to know more.
