There is a remastered version of Sam & Max Save the World on the way

It seems that remasters are quite the trend in the world of video games lately, and although those usually do not bring any deal of novelty to our libraries, they allow us to play some of our favorite games one more time without having to worry about compatibility problems or outdated visuals. This is the case of Sam & Max Save the World - Remastered, which will bring back the classic point-and-click 3D graphic adventure from Telltale Games that became a hit in 2009. It includes six episodes starred by the characters from Steve Purcell's comic book series Sam & Max, a pair of private investigators involved in a series of cases related to a hypnotism conspiracy. Each of the episodes features an independent story but all of them are tied by an underlying plot. You will be able to play through all of them and discover the outcome of the story with Sam & Max Save the World - Remastered, a new version of the original Sam & Max Save the World that will be released in just a few weeks.

As you probably know, Telltale Games is no more, and in this case, Skunkape Games has taken over the license to deliver this enhanced version of the original game which, according to the developers, was originally intended to be a simple patch for the game and ended being a full remaster of Sam & Max Save The World.

"Initially we only planned to patch Sam & Max Season One on PC, so it would work better on today’s computers. But as we got into it, we realized there was a lot more we wanted to do—some things we can do now thanks to better tech, and others we didn’t do back then because we didn’t know how. "

"The project grew to the point that it was much more than a patch, and Sam & Max Save the World Remastered was born."

Sam & Max Save the World - Remastered supports wide screens and higher resolutions than the original, and it features dynamic lighting and improved lip sync, as well as reworked character models and a new user interface. It will be available on December 2, 2020, on PC and Nintendo Switch.
