Resident Evil RE-Verse won't launch this month

There were a good number of players waiting for the release of Resident Evil Re-Verse this month. Even though this multiplayer experience should have been included in Resident Evil Village at launch, it has suffered several delays, but it seems that the latest one is the most significant. Capcom has just confirmed that the state of Resident Evil Re-Verse is currently very far from what they wanted. Of course, the abundant complaints that they have received as feedback from the players during the different testing phases that have taken place in the last few weeks have a lot to do with that. Therefore, the launch of the game has been delayed to 2022.

This does not really have any effect on Resident Evil Village, since the last installment in the popular survival-horror series has already sold more than 4.5 million copies, and players seem to be quite happy with the experience. In fact, the majority of people that have tried the game seem to be eagerly awaiting for the release of its first DLC. All this may not come as a surprise to the fans of the series, since Resident Evil games have always been single-player mainly. It's true that the latest version of Resident Evil 3 included an asymmetric multiplayer experience, Resident Evil Resistance, which challenged several Survivors with escaping from a facility controlled by an evil Mastermind, but it has always been seen as a side experience rather than the main part of Resident Evil.

There is no specific release date for Resident Evil Re-Verse, but if you bought a physical copy of Resident Evil Village, you should store in a safe place the Resident Evil Reverse download code that comes with it. If you lose it, you will have problems taking part in the multiplayer experience later on.
