Resident Evil Village, new details unveiled

Resident Evil Village, new details unveiled

It has now been over three years since the last installment in the Resident Evil series was released. It's true that since 2017 Capcom has released two games, the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, which also includes a multiplayer mode, Resident Evil Resistance, but many fans have been waiting for a new installment that would continue the main story in the series, and Resident Evil Village will do it in 2021.

We were able to learn a few things about the game for the first time last June during the presentation of the Playstation 5 games. Resident Evil Village was then shown in September at a new event organized by Sony in which we were able to watch a trailer that gave us a more precise idea of what awaits us in the game.

Today, Resident Evil Village returns to the spotlight thanks to the Japanese magazine Famitsu, which reveals more details about the game. We already knew that, like in the previous installment, the protagonist will be Ethan, but it seems that he will not find himself in the famous Village of his own free will and that it would be Chris Redfield who forced him to go there. Famitsu also reveals that the villagers will be far from being simple and stupid NPCs and they will be able to adopt group behaviors like in Resident Evil 4. As for the enemies, they will be capable of using weapons and coordinating their attacks. Finally, Resident Evil Village will include NPCs that will sell different kinds of weapons to us through the game.

There is still a lot of relevant information about Resident Evil Village that we could learn ahead of its release. The game is scheduled for 2021, but lacking an exact date for it, Capcom has plenty of time to tell us more about the game, and we can't wait for it to happen.
