Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will arrive in 2021

We were surprised when League of Legends developer Riot Games announced that they were going to release a few games to cover other video game genres other than MOBA, in which LoL is already one of the most popular games all over the world. The announcement was followed by the release of their collectible card game Legends of Runeterra, which inspired by the League of Legends Lore and thanks to innovative mechanics, has managed to make a place for itself in the hearts of the players. Valorant is also progressing steadily to become a force to be reckoned among the competitive first-person shooting experiences. And it seems that another game is going to join the list of novelties that Riot has prepared for us. This time it's the turn of Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, a turn-based role-playing game that is arriving next year and whose official announcement trailer was published last weekend.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story seems to be inspired by the League of Legends universe too, and it will follow the adventures of a group formed by some of the heroes that you can play in the MOBA. Although the video does not reveal anything about the gameplay, we can discover that we will play as Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke, and explore the territories of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be the first single-player game in the League of Legends license, and although the game is not being developed by Riot, its creators have demonstrable experience in the genre. Airship Syndicate is the studio in charge of developing Ruined King: A League of Legends Story and they are also the creators of two great games, Darksiders Genesis and Battle Chasers: Nightwar.

The release of Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is scheduled for early 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
