Physical and digital pre-orders for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will start on February 27, 2024.

The synopsis of Shin Megami Tensei V begins with a gruesome crime scene in Tokyo. On his way home, the protagonist crosses paths with it, and this unplanned detour leaves him unconscious and buried. He then awakens in Da'at, a desolate land ravaged by the apocalypse. Before ravenous demons take his life, salvation emerges, joining forces with the protagonist to become a powerful being, neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a complete RPG that can be enjoyed by new and old fans alike. At the beginning of the game, players will choose between two paths: the story told in Shin Megami Tensei V, Canon of Creation, or a brand-new path, Canon of Vengeance. This dramatic revenge plot introduces new characters, an enigmatic group of demons called Qadištu, and a new dungeon and map to explore. Additionally, the original battle system of Shin Megami Tensei V, which blends scenario exploration and demon fusion, has been enhanced and expanded for the latest title in the franchise.

For now, we don't know if Vengeance will be sold as DLC or just as a standalone game. Considering ATLUS's track record and their re-releases of updated versions like Persona 5 Royal, we would bet that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be a standalone and complete game. However, a DLC with Dagda and Konohana Sakuya is scheduled for June 21, which may indicate that it will be sold separately and possibly bundled with Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.
