When it comes to horror series, Silent Hill is a cult classic that has become the favourite of a huge community over the years. The announcement of a Silent Hill 2 remake two years ago was received with joy but the news about the game have been scarce since then. However, Sony's State of Play stream did put an end to such a drought and left the fans of the survival horror series with a frist impression about the combat in the upcoming game.

A modern take on a classic

With enhanced graphics and modern features, the new Silent Hill 2 feels like a totally different game while keeping the spirit of the original. In a vertain way, it looks very similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake but the fans of the series will surely appreciate the differences. Developer Bloober Team has created a remake with a combat that has evolved a lot. It offers more choices, it's brutal, and more appealing visually.
