Skull and Bones announces its first season

After so long time waiting for it to be released, Skull and Bones is finally available to play but it has been received with mixed opinions. Many players enjoy the opportunity of setting sail and building a career as a pirate whereas others simply dislike the type of approach that Ubisoft has taken at the genre and prefer to indulge themselves with Sea of Thieves or even Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. In such a scenario, the sales of the game may not be as significant as some of the biggest hits this year, but Skull and Bones is a game created to offer an experience that improves over time, and the player base will surely increase as the game receives more content.

Legendary pirates ahoy!

Raging Tides is the appealing name of the first season of Skull and Bones. The new content coming with this season will be available on February 27 and it will include the first Legendary Pirate Battle, which will pit you against Philippe La Peste. Also, the new season will add sea monsters to the game. You should be wary of them while you navigate the treacherous waters of the Indian Ocean, as beasts like the Tylosaurus pose a huge threat to your ship and crew. With the opportunity of setting your trade routes by capturing manufacturers in certain events, Season 1 adds new ways of profit to your pirate adventure. You can take a peek at all this in the official presentation video for Skull and Bones Season 1: Raging Tides.

Following this season, Ubisoft plans to release two additional ones throughout the first year of Skull and Bones. They all will revolve around encounters with legendary pirates and also add new features and events to the game to expand its experience. You can also unlock additional rewards via Skull and Bones Battle Passes, but most of the seasonal content is available for free to all those who own the game.
