Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 gameplay and release date revealed

Just over a year ago, we saw the announcement of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, a game that was originally slated for release in Fall 2020. As you can imagine, it did not happen. The game suffered the same fate as many other games in 2020 and it looks like the new release window hasn't been easy to arrange. In November, we were told that the game was coming in early 2021, but last month we got to know that that Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will not see the light of day until the second quarter of the year because it has to be optimized for “as many platforms as possible".

The uncertainty comes to an end now that the game's release date has finally been revealed. Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will launch on June 4, 2021. And as the justification given to the last postponement suggested, it will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, but also on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. On this occasion, CI Games published the very first gameplay trailer, and it's not for the faint-hearted.

One of the most impressive things in this first video is the precision and realism with which you can literally blow up skulls. This particularly highlights the quality of the graphics in Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, but we also get a glimpse of the interface in the video, especially in aim mode. Overall, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 takes everything that made the first installment so successful and improves it. It does not offer you an open world to explore but includes five large maps and twenty contracts.
