Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is the sequel to the iconic third-person shooter from Relic Entertainment. The game puts you once more in the shoes of Titus, Primaris Captain of the Ultramarines while he is immersed in an epic campaign against the Tyranids. The game promises an intense experience that players will be able to share with other Space Marine comrades in a cooperative campaign as they take on challenging missions and mow down hordes of ravenous aliens controlled by the Hive Mind. Action to boot, brutal combat, and a thrilling story are to be expected from Space Marine 2 but it seems that the game will be offering much more than that.
A recent leak has provided us with plenty of images from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 artbook and it seems that the game will be featuring some surprises. The images show Chaos Space Marines from a variety of chaptters, including World Eaters, Death Guard, Black Legion, Night Lords, Alpha Legion, and Iron Warriors. These will supposedly be playable in a new player-versus-player mode that will pit the Emperor's bravest warriors against their nemesis. The leaked content also suggests that Titus and his comrades could be facing threats different than the Tyranids during the campaign as multiple types of Chaos and Xenos units are revealed in the artbook. Unfortunately, the video showing the images has already been removed.
Developer Relic Entertainment has not offered an official confirmation on this matter yet, but it wouldn't be that strange that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 would follow the steps of its predecessor, since the team-based PvP mode was one of the most popular features in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
We will have to wait a bit longer to discover if Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 features other novelties as the release of the game is scheduled for next September. Meanwhile, you can keep an eye on the best deals to pre-order Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine 2 with our comparator.
