Square Enix announces a new DLC for Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III paid ReMIND DLC will bring more story and boss fights. When Tetsuya Nomura took the stage at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra performance to reveal they aren’t finished with Kingdom Hearts III just yet he also announced a new paid DLC for the game similar to a “Final Mix” with an additional scenario called Re:Mind. Final Mix refers to an old reissue of Kingdom Hearts that added English voice-overs and extra content, including bosses that didn´t appear in the original Japanese version of the game.

Likewise, the paid DLC temporarily named the ReMIND DLC will add to the original game a Limited Cut Episode and a Secret Episode. Both episodes will feature optional English voice-overs for the Japanese version, a new boss for Sora and friends to defeat and more things that are to be announced yet. All the players that own a copy of Kingdom Hearts III will also receive a new form for Sora and new Keyblade as a free download when the DLC becomes available.

Nomura did not provide a specific release date or the price for ReMIND, but he said that more details should be expected around the Rainy Season, aka. June, which would point at a potential confirmation of this new DLC being part of the announcements that will come during Square Enix's upcoming E3 conference. Until then, we will have to stick to play just the base game. and retrieve the epic adventures of Sora, Goofy, Donald, and friends. You can watch right below a trailer that recaps the story so far.

Kingdom Hearts III launched Jan. 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Last Tuesday, a free update brought back the Critical Mode difficulty setting, with several quality-of-life improvements.
