Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed

The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the most anticipated game of 2023 for the fans of Star Wars. The adventure starring Cal Kestis opened up a dark and very interesting period in the story of the franchise and it has been the origin of new characters and a completely new storyline. How some Jedis survived the massacre caused by Order 66 has always been a mystery. That's why following the endeavors of the young padawan in his attempt to survive the hunt of the Inquisition is such a thrilling story. As its second episode, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor promises an exciting adventure and an intriguing plot with new twists, as well as new gameplay mechanics that include new ways of using the Force in combat for example.

Unexpected delay

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was revealed at The Game Awards last year, and since then we have discovered more things about the game. Unfortunately, not all of those are going to be accurate. We are talking about the release date of the game. The launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was initially scheduled for March 17, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but Respawn director Vince Zampella has announced that it will be delayed several weeks in an official statement released via Twitter.

“In order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now launch globally on April 28th."

It's a logical decision. Six additional weeks won't really make any difference for the community and Respawn can´t risk launching a game with problems as Star Wars is a very popular and consolidated franchise with many fans to please.
