Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming to old-gen consoles

Following its huge success on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the latest adventure in the world of Star Wars is looking to expand to other platforms. Respawn Entertainment has announced that it will launch Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The reveal was made during Electronic Arts' latest financial report, which accurately describes the current situation of the game as follows:

"Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched to critical acclaim and commercial success. The game is entertaining millions of players around the world, and with multiple “best of 2023” list accolades, and a blockbuster story, we’re seeing players spend more time in-game than its predecessor."

Expanding the player base

But the most interesting part about the report and what occupies us today is that it was revealed that Respawn is already working to bring Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to old-gen platforms. The port would be in the early stages of development right now and there is no information about a possible release date as reported by Kotaku. In any case, it's great news for those that are yet to buy newer consoles as it will allow them to enjoy one of the best Star Wars experiences released in recent years.

Of course, the new versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One won't have the same level of graphics detail as the current versions for consoles, but Respawn should be able to adapt the ports so they deliver an appropriate experience. Also, all the annoying problems that players suffered at launch have been solved already.
