Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's new gameplay revealed

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's new gameplay revealed

After announcing an unexpected delay on the release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor not too long ago, Respawn Entertainment is completely focused on the development of the game to make it to the new deadline. April 28th is getting closer very fast, and the development team still has work to do when it comes to bug fixes. The studio acknowledged it when the delay was announced.

“We are now focused entirely on the final stage: bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, polish, and most importantly, the player experience. In order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now launch globally on April 28th.”

A new gameplay video

Six weeks may not seem much, but Respawn does not seem scared of showing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in its current state. A new gameplay video courtesy of IGN shows Cal Kestis in action. As one of the few Jedis left, Cal is trying to survive in a universe that is hostile to him. With the Inquisition chasing him and accompanied by his trusty BD-1, we can see Cal exploring the Southern Reach area in the world of Koboh. Battle droids, hunters, and alien beasts are just some of the opponents that the young Jedi has to fight at this stage of the game.

Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor looks polished enough in this gameplay video, a few weeks more in the workbench shouldn't hurt. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order set the bar quite high for its successor, and the community expects nothing but an outstanding experience.

We can't deny that the game looks really good so far, but we will have to wait a bit more before joining Cal in his new adventure.
