The story in Amnesia: Rebirth takes fear to a new level

Quite a few years after the release of the first game in the Amnesia series, Frictional Games continues to demonstrate that they have mastered the intricacies of the survival horror genre with Amnesia: Rebirth. This new installment will be available very soon and it will offer quite an immersive experience for the players. Every aspect of the game has been created with extreme detail and the developers have put a lot of effort into including plenty of systems that contribute to creating an immersive atmosphere of gothic horror. In Amnesia: Rebirth, Tasi Trianon will begin her adventure oblivious to many things due to her lack of memories, but the narrative in the game will serve as the main force that both forces her to react to her surroundings in order to stay alive and also drives her slowly into madness as she realizes the truth about her rather abnormal situation. At some point, she may even be doubtful about if what she is experiencing is real or not.

A video recently released by Frictional Games delves a bit deeper into the story of Amnesia: Rebirth and it let us take a look at the different environments in the game too.

In Amnesia: Rebirth, fear will be an integral part of the gameplay, and the game features quite a complex system in which Tasi is affected by a mysterious disease whose symptoms are somehow linked to her level of fear. The more scared she is, the worse the symptoms get. It's not like you can avoid being afraid in Amnesia: Rebirth, but the game forces you to be careful about your decisions while pushing your stress level through the limits at some points in order to deliver quite a realistic survival horror experience.

Amnesia: Rebirth has all the elements needed to become another masterpiece that will deserve a spot in the libraries of the fans of horror games. It will be available on October 20 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
