Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League may be delayed to 2023

Some rough news for fans of the Arkhamverse games—according to a Bloomberg report, a source close to the game’s development said that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be delayed to next year.

Developed by Rocksteady, the same makers of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Suicide Squad features four supervillains under the control of Task Force X: Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang. These criminals are sent on impossible missions to remove years from their life sentences, hence the name Suicide Squad. This time, they get the worst possible odds when they’re sent to eliminate a rogue Justice League composed of Superman, Green Lantern, and the Flash. On top of that, they also need to handle the villain pulling the strings: the alien mastermind, Brainiac.

It’s not going to be a good day for these non-heroes, but the players are sure to thrill at the melee action and gunplay after a gameplay demonstration showed off what combat is going to look like:

This isn’t the first time Suicide Squad has been delayed. It was slated for 2021 only to be pushed back to sometime in 2022. Now, if the sources are correct, we likely won’t be seeing it till 2023.

While it’s understandable that big game releases get pushed back due to the ongoing pandemic, it’s a bit strange for Suicide Squad to get delayed considering that out of all of Warner Media games set for release this year, it’s the one with the most trailers and media hype. The other games Warner has slated for release this year—Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga—comparatively didn’t get as much marketing, at least so far.

Regardless, we shall keep an eye out for more news regarding Suicide Squad’s development. Check back with our comparator for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League PC codes once they come online.
