Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has a new DLC

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, one of the best TMNT games to ever come out and an excellent beat ‘em up game to boot, is introducing its first DLC: Dimension Shellshock. Set to release later this year, it features new game modes, new color schemes for your turtles, and of course, a fresh batch of new faces to play with. Check out the turtle-ly awesome trailer for Dimension Shellshock here:

Usagi joins the fray

The biggest news about the DLC is who’s appearing in it—none other than Usagi Miyamoto, better known as Usagi Yojimbo. A creation of comic author Stan Sakai, Usagi is a samurai rabbit from Japan’s Edo period. In the comics and animated shows, he frequently shows up in the present time due to time travel shenanigans, befriending the Turtles and aiding them against Shredder and the Foot Clan. Though Usagi is a masterless ronin, you can bet he’s a master of the sword. The gameplay video shows just how much ass you can kick with this rabbit.

That said, he’s likely not the only new character in the DLC, which is slated to deliver more. Who the next ones are is anyone’s guess, but we’ll know more once the DLC’s launch date gets announced.

The DLC also introduces other features like a new survival game mode where you try to last against waves of enemies in a single room, and the option to change the color palette of your favorite Turtle.
