Tekken 7 gets two new fighters

The best Tekken players from all over the world are taking part in the Tekken World Tour Finals 2019 which took place yesterday in Bangkok, Thailand at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha Theatre. The qualifying rounds started in April with plenty of spectacular combats and the competition, wich a prize pool of $200,000, has culminated in an amazing final that produced a new champion, THY|Chikurin playing with Geese Howard and Akuma.

The event has been the perfect scenario to announce two DLCs for Tekken 7 which will introduce a couple of new fighters into the game - Muay Thai champion Fahkumram and Ganryu.

Fahkumram is a gigantic Muay Thai champion able to deliver powerful blows. Not much has been revealed about his origins but according to the footage in the video he seems to be captive by military forces and he is fighting for the freedom of his family, whose members are presumably being held as hostages to force Fahkumran fighting. It's quite doubtful that even with their guns the soldiers would be able to stop him otherwise.

Nothing at all has been revealed about Ganryu but he shows some powerful moves in the video, striking sumo-style with his hands and throwing his opponent in the air as if it was a ragged doll.

Both fighters are included along with Zafina and Leroy in Tekken 7 Season Pass 3, but you can also purchase them separately. No release date has been confirmed for any of the DLC but they should arrive in the following months along with a new Thailand stage for Tekken 7.

With the recent addition of improvements for the Training Mode, the introduction of the in-game frame data display and Punishment Guides for the characters, Bandai Namco has managed to make Tekken 7 a bit more friendly for the newcomers while maintaining its complexity and difficulty level for experts who want to take advantage of the new features and perfect their gameplay.
