The Callisto Protocol DLC and system requirements revealed

The release of The Callisto Protocol is still a few days away and we can finally check out the system requirements on PC. The upcoming survival horror game from the creator of Dead Space will hit the stores on December 2 and we already have had the opportunity of watching plenty of gory footage about the Black Iron Prison and the monstrosities that you will have to face in the game. With these images in mind, we expected the hardware requirements on Pc to be quite steep, but it turns out that The Callisto Protocol is not so demanding, at least on the lower end. Post-launch content

Developer Striking Distance Studio has also revealed some DLC packs that will be available for The Callisto Protocol after its release. The Contagion Pack and the Riot Pack will be available separately and as part of the Season Pass for the game. The first one includes 13 new death animations for your character, several skins, and a new permadeath mode. The second cone comes with 12 new death animations for the enemies and several skins, as well as a new gameplay mode that will pit you against waves of monsters. As a reminder, the Season Pass is included in The Callisto Protocol Digital Deluxe Edition and it also includes a third DLC Pack that will release sometime in the future with new skins, armor, and story content.

The community has received the announcement of the DLC packs with mixed feelings and some fans have accused Striking Distance of cutting down content from the main game. The studio has answered by saying that it has not even started working on the post-launch content yet. In any case, it's good to know that they do have plans to expand The Callisto Protocol with additional content.
