Baldur's Gate 3 developer announced a new studio in Warsaw

Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has experienced tremendous success since the game's release. Fans are hailing Baldur's Gate 3 as one of the most genre-defining titles in recent years, with it even winning the Game of the Year 2023 award. Despite being an independent studio best known for their cRPGs, Larian continues to grow and has become one of the prominent players in the industry, recently opening a new studio.

We've known that Larian has been working on two new projects since April this year, as mentioned in a Steam community update, though they've stated that "It's still early days - we’ll tell you more about those later down the line." A recent tweet from them suggests that development on these two "ambitious RPGs" is now underway.

Building on the success of their flagship game Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studio also announced that they will be opening their 7th studio in Warsaw, Poland.

"What better way to see our visions realised than by growing the team and opening a 7th studio in the heart of Poland’s lively gaming scene!"

With the addition of this brand-new Warsaw studio, Larian now has a total of 7 branches: Barcelona (Spain), Dublin (Ireland), Gent (Belgium), Guildford (England), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Quebec (Canada). With other companies like CD Projekt Red, 11-bit Studios, Blooper Team, and others also having offices in Poland, Larian Studio Warsaw will be an ideal place for talented individuals with rich industry experience.

With Baldur's Gate 3 only having been released last year, it may take quite some time before we get more information about their two "ambitious RPGs." For now, the enthusiasm for Baldur's Gate 3 is still high, with the game having sold 15 million copies as of March.
