The first beta of Back 4 Blood anticipates a huge success

The announcement of Back 4 Blood received a hot welcome from the fans of Left 4 Dead, but nobody anticipated that the new game would become so popular even before its launch. If you've been following us, you already know that the first beta event for Back 4 Blood took place last weekend. Plenty of players have been able to give a try to its survival and zombie-killing mechanics uring the last few days, but nobody guessed that the beta event would be such a hit as to gather almost 100,000 concurrent players on Steam. Turtle Rock Studios' game managed to catch the attention of 98,024 players, and it became one of the most actively played games on Valve's platform during the last weekend.

Those numbers may not be too great for some people. Still, if you consider that the access to the previous beta was limited to pre-orders, Twitch drops, and invitations, it turns out that Back 4 Blood has all the potential to become one of the big hits of the year once it's released in October 12. Cooperative multiplayer, PvP, and gameplay focused on replayability, in combination with all the previous experience of the studio in the genre, have been more than enough to appeal to the masses. But this weekend was just the prelude of something bigger, as a new Back 4 Blood beta event will take place from August 12 to August 16, and this time it will be open to everyone.

If you want to participate in the upcoming beta event, you just need to visit the Back 4 Blood official website and register. You will need to create a WB Games Account to receive your beta code. The beta will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC and will have cross-gen and cross-play support.
