The killstreaks will be back in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

After revealing the new Gunfight multiplayer mode, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continues to unveil itself to the players before its release on October 25th. Activision promised us at the beginning of this month on its blog to give us information regularly pending the revelation of multiplayer gameplay from August 1, and they seem to be honoring their promise.

Thus, we learn today about the great return of the killstreaks or series of eliminations to the game. As a reminder, they had disappeared from the series since Call of Duty: Black Ops II in favor of a system of points that granted bonuses during the game, called "scorestreak". It is not surprising to see the killstreaks coming back in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the game being a reboot of the original title and advocating a return to the roots of the series and a more realistic approach. To be able to benefit from certain bonuses, it will be necessary to aim precisely and chain the kills without going down. It's through the official Twitter account of the game that we've heard the news, but that's not all it's been revealed. We also discovered three of the bonuses that we will get for being a great shooter. The first one, Juggernaut, allows us to get a supply package containing Juggernaut assault equipment, the second is an infantry assault vehicle with a 50 caliber machine gun, and finally, White Phosphorus will allow us to dump white smoke on the battlefield to disorient and burn enemies.

Own the opposition - reap the rewards.

We imagine that we will know more about these bonuses during the gameplay presentation taking place on August 1st. To avoid missing a thing you have to visit the official Call of Duty Twitch channel at 19h CEST. In parallel, Infinite Ward and Activision have invited streamers and YouTubers to test Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer in Los Angeles, so we should see a number of gameplay videos in the coming days.
