After watching the first bits of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum gameplay a couple of weeks ago, we all were left wondering when we would know more about the upcoming game based on J.R.R: Tolkien's novels. The stealth platformer created by Daedalic Entertainment looked good in the latest video, and the fans of The Lord of The Ring and The Hobbit are pretty excited with the opportunity of exploring a part of the story just briefly mentioned in the books.
Gollum is not a hero, although his acts ultimately determine the destiny of Middle Earth. The role of the once candid hobbit Smeagol after being corrupted by the power of Sauron's One Ring is pivotal in one of the most epic fantasy stories of all time, making him quite an interesting character. The dichotomy of his tortured mind reveals a level of depth that will be quite appealing to many players as he travels across Middle Earth looking for his lost treasure in an untold tale. Unfortunately, we will have to wait longer than expected to play The Lord of The Rings: Gollum.
Initially, The Lord of The Rings: Gollum was slated to launch on September 1, but Daedalic has just shattered any hopes of all the fans by announcing that the game has been delayed "by a few months" in order to deliver the best possible experience.

Therefore, we are left without a release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, although it will probably launch this year. If we look at the bright side of things, this delay allows Daedalic to reveal more details about the upcoming adventure. Let's hope the studio takes advantage of it to give us some insight into the game's mechanics and additional information.
