The System Shock remake gameplay looks impressive

When you find a game such as the original System Shock it's quite hard to come up with something that would make it even better. Yes, the game has a sequel that proved to be quite good, but the level of innovation and the gameplay experience offered by the first game when it was released is hard to match. It's like watching the first Star Wars film in 1977 and nowadays. Many things have changed quite a bit over the years but that does not mean that System Shock is not still a good game. Of course, there is always room for improvement and that's exactly what Nightdive Studios is offering us with the upcoming remake of the first-person action-adventure video game from 1994.

The System Shock remake has been in the works for a while but it seems that the developer is ready to show the results of its efforts and has published a new gameplay video that allows us to visit the Citadel space station once more time. The scenarios shown in the video will be familiar to all the fans, but the new graphics, the level of detail, and some new gameplay mechanics will put the remake on a completely new level. It will be the best way of introducing any newcomers to the series as they face SHODAN for the first time ever.

The new System Shock seems to be appealing enough to catch the attention of many players, and knowing that it has as a foundation one of the most popular classics in the genre is just a huge bonus. The only remaining doubt about System Shock is when we will be able to play it exactly, as the release of the game is scheduled for Summer 2021 on PC but no accurate date has been confirmed so far. There is a demo of the game that you can try for free on GOG, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Also, if you are a fan of the series and you preorder the System Shock remake you will receive System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free as a bonus.
