The Wolf Among Us 2 reveal trailer is here

It’s been five long years of waiting since it was first announced, but finally, we have the first official trailer of The Wolf Among Us 2. Fans have been clamoring for a sequel since the first game, and though we got another announcement during the 2019 The Game Awards, news has been sparse since then. Now, though, we get a proper trailer:

The wolf returns

The making of The Wolf Among Us 2 is nearly as storied as the actual video game itself. Makers Telltalle Games actually closed its doors in 2018 due to “insurmountable challenges”, retrenching its staff and bringing an end to production. Then, a year later, Telltale Games miraculously returned after it was purchased by LCG Entertainment. With that, The Wolf Among Us 2 was back in production. Most of the original production crew also returned, as the game was made in tandem with AdHoc Studios, half of whom were former Telltale employees.

The Wolf Among Us 2's story is set six months after the events of the first game, with Bigby Wolf picking up the pieces of his life now that he is no longer Sheriff of Fabletown. Unfortunately, trouble has a way coming to his doorstep, and soon Bigby is investigating a mystery that will take him back to Fabletown and the possibly more dangerous locale of New York City.

Fans can expect familiar faces to return, such as Fabletown deputy mayor Snow White and Bigby’s love interest. New characters like Bufkin, a flying monkey from the Wizard of Oz, will also be introduced.

When is The Wolf Among Us 2 coming?

The game is still under production, with a slated release date somewhere in 2023. It will release for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
