This week's free games on the Epic Games Store have been announced

The digital distribution platform for video games developed and maintained by Epic Games is known as the Epic Games Store. It provides a carefully selected range of games for PC and Mac, often offering exclusive titles and substantial discounts.

On a weekly basis, Epic Games unveils one or sometimes two new games for players to download and add to their collections for free. Regrettably, this week's complimentary games on the Epic Games Store are not as noteworthy as previous offerings. However, there is a new horror game available for PC users seeking a spooky experience leading up to or during Halloween.

 

The more prominent of the two free games available on the Epic Games Store, in terms of popularity and value, is the non-horror game, Empyrion – Galactic Survival.

Empyrion provides a sci-fi survival adventure, enabling players to construct large settlements, space-faring ships, and even space stations. The voxel-based terrain can be shaped and altered on any planet, allowing for activities such as resource mining and flattening areas for settlement construction. The game also supports PvE and PvP multiplayer, mods, and an open-ended creative mode.

 

Following that is Outliver: Tribulation, a blend of survival horror and souls-like gameplay that immerses players in the role of a soldier transported to a supernatural realm. Drawing inspiration from African mythologies, the action game requires players to complete an ancient ritual in order to return to the real world.

Once claimed, these free games are permanently added to your collection. They are not trial versions or demos but full, complimentary downloads of each game. All that's needed is an Epic Games Store account, which is free of charge. It's important to note that this offer is only valid until October 17, as a new free game, or possibly multiple free games like this week, will replace the current offer on October 17th.
