Ubisoft steps up gameplay in The Crew Motorfest

The experiences in The Crew series have always been significantly different than the ones players could enjoy in other big franchises of the genre like Forza Horizon and Gran Turismo. Ubisoft didn't quite manage to hit the nail with many aspects of the game and players always complained about rough handling and the games being too much of an arcade rather than focusing on delivering a realistic experience. Fortunately, the French company has finally listened to the community, and The Crew Motorfest offers a more solid experience with better features, or at least that's what a good number of players that have participated in the recent closed beta are saying.

There are plenty of things to do in O'ahu

The Crew Motorfest may have a long way to go to catch up with its competitors in terms of graphics and realism, but it has improved a lot in terms of gameplay and as a whole experience. A new change of scenario leaves the players with the island of O'ahu in Hawaii to explore as they take part in a variety of challenging experiences. The introduction of different Playlists, which are a series of mini-campaigns focused on a specific theme, contributes to creating a more immersive experience with many more things to do than just racing for the sake of it. You can have a deeper look at the Porshe Playlist in the latest gameplay video released by Ubisoft right below.

As you can see, The Crew Motorfest is true to the spirit of the series and continues to be mainly an arcade game, but it solves many of the shortcomings of its predecessors by adding new things to do in the game and enhancing controls to deliver a more exciting experience.

Of course, if you are looking for an hyperrealistic racing simulator you may as well look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a game where you can simply have fun racing to your heart's content and participating in cool events, The Crew Motorfest is the game you want.
