UK and Ireland look much better in Microsoft Flight Simulator now

One of the biggest selling points of Microsoft Flight Simulator is the amazing level of realism in the game. From the planes you can fly to every detail in the cockpit, every little detail that you can think of is represented in the last installment of the long-lived simulation series in order to deliver a unique experience that makes you feel like if you were in mid-air piloting your favorite plane. But such a high level of realism and detail does not stop with the planes and it also covers the terrain that is thousands of feet below you. Microsoft Flight Simulator is well known for using satellite data to offer the most accurate and polished representation of every country, including specific landmarks. The latest free update of the game has just been released, and it brings many improvements to the landscapes you will see throughout the United Kingdom & Ireland.

Take flight into a region rich with tradition, culture and heritage — not to mention a fair share of myth and legend. From seats of royalty to centers of finance, bustling metropolitan hubs to sprawling farmsteads and cliffside villages, the splendor of the United Kingdom and Ireland is on full display with dramatic upgrades and visual enhancements.

Developer Asobo has enhanced those territories with 3D photogrammetry for the cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London and Oxford, as well as five new airports (Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton, and Out Skerries). The update also adds more than 70 new landmarks and points of interest to make your experience in Microsoft Flight Simulator as real as it gets. Finally, you will have a few new activities to engage in after you install the update. You can explore the Northern Isles in an Iconic Flight and try to complete a couple of Landing Challenges in the Shetland archipelago and Southeast England.
