Vampire: The Masquerade, two new games announced

Created in 1991, The World of Darkness is without doubt one of the richest universe in terms of role-playing games. It is at the origin of several different games, all taking place in this same world, but staging different fantastic creatures.

And like many other tabletop role-playing games, it has originated a few video-game adaptations. The most notable is probably Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, featuring various clans of vampires who clash for power. Although it was recently revealed that its sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, has been delayed, other eponymous roleplaying adaptations are currently under development.

The one that will be released the first is Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York, which on the occasion of the PDXCon 2019, has announced its release date on PC. Developed by Draw Distance, Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York is a narrative solo game where you will embody a vampire from either the Camarilla or the Anarchs who are immersed in a struggle for power. Described as "Telltale-like" and highlighting a dark atmosphere, the game will put you in front of difficult choices, which will have an impact on the following events. Several options will be available to allow greater replayability. Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York will be available on PC from December 4, and should arrive on Nintendo Switch in early 2020. A version for Xbox One and PS4 is still under discussion.

The second game, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong was revealed last May during the Bigben Week. Developed by Big Bad Wolf, to whom we also owe The Council, we know very little outside his name, and its launch window, which is scheduled for 2021. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong will be a narrative RPG in which an unknown threat could cause the fall of the Ivory Tower, and where we will embody three vampires from different clans of the Camarilla. However, we will have to wait to know more.

Fans of the universe of Vampire: The Masquerade must, in any case, be thrilled with no less than three games announced by 2021, including the highly anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2.
