Warframe expansion The Duviri Paradox releasing in April

Developer Digital Extremes has finally made the announcement: Warframe’s expansion, which was originally scheduled for a 2022 release but was pushed back to this year instead, is finally releasing this April. You can check out their trailer here:

This expansion will give players an entirely new area to explore: Duviri, a strange fusion between fantasy and Western open world, all of which is a psychic figment from the mind of the newest Warframe antagonist, Dominus Trax. Digital Extremes described it thus:

"Prepare to experience an emotionally-charged and wondrous world where visual and gameplay experiences shift and transpose as the mood of the Child King ruler Dominus Thrax changes day-to-day, weaving through elements of Fear, Anger, Happiness, Envy, and Sadness. Each mood in The Duviri Paradox is visually represented in environments and combat, where enemies and the citizens of Duviri behave differently and colors shift to create a new experience with each step into this world touched by the Void."

Three is the charm

According to the developers, The Duviri Paradox will have three modes. The first is a solo campaign that’s simply called “The Lone Story.” A new endless mode is the next portion, called “The Circuit.” Finally, The Duviri Experience is a complete open-world adventure, the game’s fourth. Also available for players to explore is The Undercroft, an arena where players can battle enemies from both this expansion and the previous ones, and where they may also put the new Decrees system to good use.

Apart from the Decrees, the expansion will also introduce a mechanic where you rewind time upon dying, a winged skeletal horse, and a black-and-white look that slowly gives way to color.

The Duviri Paradox will come out this April. If you haven’t tried the open-world epic that is Warframe, pick up an affordable Warframe PC key from our comparator today.
