Developer Fatshark achieved great success with its Vermintide series, which offers players an exciting experience set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Battling against hordes of Skaven that charge at you relentlessly is an experience hard to forget, but when the opportunity to create a game inspired by Warhammer 40K, the studio didn't hesitate. As a result, Warhammer 40K: Darktide was born, and it rapidly caught the eye of many fans. However, the game had significant problems at launch that mainly attained the progression system. Fortunately, Fatshark kept working on the game and has completely overhauled many apects of the game, making Darktide a more engaging and dynamic experience that is now much more appealing to the players.
With many of those who tried the game at launch returning to try the latest changes, Darktide is going through a revival process of sorts as players are returning to the game. This is something essential, as the game is mainly multiplayer-based. Things will get even better very soon, as Fatshark has confirmed the release date of Warhammer 40K: Darktide on PlayStation 5.
The release of Warhammer 40K: Darktide on PlayStation 5 consoles has been scheduled for December 3. The developer studio has revealed that the game will support all the console's features, including the DualSense haptic feedback. It will also be ready for PlayStation 5 Pro with a version that will offer much better graphics, running at 60 fps and 4K resolution.
The recent release of Space Marine 2 has generated interest in other games inspired by Warhammer 40K, and Fatshark is taking advantage of that with the upcoming release of its game on PS5. Of course, the type of experience these two games offer is quite different, but Darktide has been greatly improved by the latest updates.
