Warhammer: Chaosbane is the first video game based on the popular tabletop miniature game license that focuses on delivering an exciting ARPG experience, and it does it quite well. Although many players will find it similar to some of the most iconic games in the genre, like Diablo III, that is something that can be said for most of the games released after Blizzard's game, but it does not mean that all those other games are not original. In fact, Warhammer: Chaosbane does a very good job adapting the Warhammer universe to the typical mechanics in the genre by offering the players a variety of heroes to fight against the forces of chaos. With five heroes to choose from, each with their own weapons and powers, and more than 70 types of enemies, the game lets you fight to your heart's content unleashing a variety of attacks and spells against hordes of monsters, and it also offers co-op gameplay for up to four players.
Although there are a few DLC already available for the game that expands its content, Warhammer: Chaosbane has just received the first one that adds a new playable class. The Witch Hunter Jurgen Haider joins the ranks of the heroes in this new DLC, and it will let you play as one of the most iconic fighters in Warhammer. Tasked with hunting and exterminating chaos aberrations and demons, this citizen of the Empire wields pistols and rapiers in combat to deliver swift death to their targets. His zeal and determination allow him to make use of holy fire to purge evil but he is also a master tracker who is able to lay deadly traps to impair heretics and demons.
The release of this new DLC is accompanied by a patch that enhances some aspects of Warhammer: Chaosbane gameplay adds balance changes and some bug fixes. It also includes a couple of new zones and several new types of enemies. Those are available for free to all Warhammer: Chaosbane owners.
