Watch Dogs Legion online mode has been postponed

Watch Dogs Legion online mode has been postponed

After being delayed for several months like many other games this year, Watch Dogs Legion was finally released on October 29th. Many players have been roaming the streets of London alone for a while and they are looking forward to doing so with other players. Long ago, Ubisoft specified that this would not be possible as soon as Watch Dogs Legion was released, as the online mode would arrive later. The date that was originally announced for it to arrive was December 3, but it has changed. Indeed, Ubisoft has announced via an article on the official website of the game that the online mode will finally arrive in early 2021, without further clarification as to the exact date.

However, they discussed the reasons for this postponement, which is directly related to various technical issues that players have encountered in Watch Dogs Legion since launch. Ubisoft has chosen to focus on solving these issues as a priority, in addition to adding some features.

Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game. The dev team is committed to fixing these issues and will not stop until everyone can experience the game as intended.

As an immediate next step, this week, we are releasing Update 2.20 to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia. The update will add a manual Save Game button to PC, as well as bring further stability improvements for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 4.

Although this will be disappointing for a lot of players, it must be admitted that this choice seems to be the most logical. It is better if the single-player experience of Watch Dogs Legion is stabilized before launching the online mode. We will have to wait until early 2021 to play Watch Dogs Legion online.
