Watch half an hour of Prey gameplay

Bethesda Softworks has released a long video showcasing the first 35 minutes of Prey gameplay.

We all are eager to see and know more about Bethesda's upcoming adventure and Fallout 4 creators seem to be glad to provide enough information for us so we can drool and form an opinion about their upcoming project. This time they have released a 35 minutes video where we can watch the beginning of the game, with the protagonist Morgan Yu progressing through the massive and lavish Talos I space station. He's been the main subject for some research for Transtar but things have gone awry. Some incident happens and he loses consciousness, to wake up later in his room. After receiving a call from a mysterious man that calls himself January, he is prompted to escape the place...

Prey – The First 35 Minutes of Gameplay

In a certain way, the video can be considered a bit of a spoiler, but it leaves you with a lot of questions about what's really going on in the space station, what are the Mimics and what are the reasons behind their attack. Also, it shows many gameplay mechanics and the skill tree. There seem to be many objects to interact with and the recycling and fabrication system really opens a lot of possibilities, promoting exploration and the use of your wits if you want to squeeze everything out of the game and taking it a bit further away from a generic action shooter and closer to an RPG.

It leaves us waiting for more and wondering about the story and the possible interaction with the neuromods, the Mimics and their powers and how are they going to affect gameplay. It definitely looks good, and we can't wait for the launch date to give it a try. Prey is scheduled for release on May 5 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
